Kids these days

Ah yes, the days when the saturday morning cartoons weren't crap and people actually took some effort in making them. Meh, I'm talking about this as if I'm an old guy and it happend 20 years ago, but how old are these cartoons really? 5, 6, 7 or 8, I don't really remember, I could look it up but I'm to lazy too, anyway it wasn't that long ago.

Medabots!

I could name dozens of great cartoons that weren't crap, but a couple of days ago I heard this song in a video and was all <3 I love this song, seriously. I thought this show was a pretty cool guy as it blows tiny robots up and it seems it's not afraid of nothing. I don't remember the storyline and all that that much, but seriously it was a good show, well at least it's better then the Pokemon rip-off known as "Digimon".

Also, this is one of those rare shows were the English intro is better then the Japanese version, at least it's more exciting and overall dynamic.

That is all.

Like a boss

This is the greates, most awesome, epicest picture of all time, there is no other picture that will be this awesome nor ever will be. My desktop has never been so awesome before, no matter what you say nothing is more epic in this world then this picture. I think I've made myself clear by now.

That is all.

How I got intrested in WW2/Weird War 2

I was never really that intrested in WW2 before mid-summer 2009, though I did make a couple of minifigs for the heck of it (three american soldiers which were pretty inaccurate with SAWs and german helmets), but I never got really into it with the whole history and all that before later.

I discovered Hellboy later that year (I think) and soon Kroenen became my favorite character. I even made a custom minifig of him and my first german soldiers, but I'm not gonna make a link to those awful minifigs as I'm not proud of them right now. Though soon I got back to my normal interest which was/is modern military and all that fanboi stuff, but that's another story.

Around july 2009 (or before that) I saw the trailer of an upcoming video game (which is out now) called Wolfenstein, a game based on an old arcade game that includes a pretty cool guy who fights Nazis in WW2.

Pretty average game in other words, but it included demons, monsters and some sci-fi ish technology (such as shiny weapons, overpowered armor etc.) and I thought it was pretty cool, and even made a nice face decal of the Veil Heavy trooper (which is the coolest enemy in the game, obviously).

Around October 2009 I got my hands on a prototype brickarms MG42 (MG42 my favorite weapon if all time, next to MP5k) in purple, yes it looks a bit awkward and can remind you of something inappropriate but it was the only one I could get at that time. I took a picture of it of course, next to it is my old Veil Heavy trooper and this is also my only picture of the old version of it, the light grey on it looks pretty terrible.

Though I've been intrested in WW2 for a long time I haven't posted that much WW2 related in my stream in general through the years, I don't really have any explanation for this.

A wild Veil Heavy Trooper appears!

And more recently I made a more accurate version of the Veil Heavy trooper which I am 90% satisfied with, the dark grey makes it look much better next to other normal german soldiers instead of that awful grey torso. I'm still using the same face decal as there is nothing wrong with it, I love how it turned out back then, and still do.

And as for now I am probably gonna continue making WW2 related stuff. As something called Weird War recently got it to my mind which is very similar to Wolfenstein. And the Weird War 2 website offers a ton of ideas, thanks too Kilo in the flickr group who gave me the link.

Rex in germany

Dino D-Day

This is beyond, if only I had picked up that damn Spinosaurus lego studios set back then. Also, it turns out modern family is a pretty good show, what? You think that was random? Told you nothing was really related.

Halloween sadness

So in the Minifigs group (a copy-pasta blog that somehow turned out to get a lot of members cause of Zeesis happy thoughts) we apparently have a "minifig challenge" that has something to do with the current season. Normally the admins and the moderators would discuss what challenge we're going to have but this time Zeesi and M19 thought it would be fun to surprise the rest of the group.

Well it's not really a surprise since this is (was?) the month of halloween and it's kinda obvious we would have something related to this. But since they did not ask any of the other Mods they didn't get to hear any opinions before the challenge was out.

And exactly what I was afraid of happend, although the challenge was revealed 22 days ago there have been no submissons yet, and M19 who was so excited about this sadly replied with a classic sadface emoticon;

If you're intrested in Hallloween/creepy related minifgs you can check out M19s calendar project that he's been working on, a new minifig for every day in october. Here is the first one he posted for the calendar;

October 1 - Mograkai Lancer

Also if you didn't know, or haven't already noticed, Morgan is fantastic at photoshop and takes the opportunity to shop the fuck out of every photo, and it seems to turn out pretty great everytime. He also likes to use TLG headpieces backwards.

That is all.

Working Song

From a most likely overrated anime series comes a song that's actually pretty good, at least in my book.

I originally wrote a whole lot of stuff about music in this post but my computer froze and I'm just to lazy to write all of it again. So anyway, here's a song that I discovered a while ago that I mostly listen to when I do stuff such as writing or drawing, basically activities that require some thinking.

Although it's from an overrated anime series (which I sadly found out later) I still like it, I'm not an anime fan but I don't have that much against it. This is also my first not-lego-related post here on this blog, wait it's not nevermind.

Also the second video to the right isn't really something that I can listen to in the background while working, I mostly listen to it when I'm going checking websites and such. I just put it up here cause it is absolutely awesome, if you don't agree then you don't know what awesome is (skip to 2:28 for eargasm).

I have alot of other "working songs" of course but these are the first ones that came to my mind when I wrote this. Also this does not represent my taste of music, I like alot of different music and I'm one of those guys who think that most modern music is absolutely terrible.

Also Queen is awesome.

S.S.D.D.

Or back in business, if you prefer. After this blog standing still with no posts for months (or even a year or two) I thought it was time to get the blog back on track as I seem to have stuff to write here now. As I've previously stated, I won't be posting here that often, mostly when I have stories that seem to long on a flickr photo or something that seems not suitable for flickr.

I don't know how active I will be but I'll try to post something every second week or so. Though I might post more but if so it will only be periods of time, just check here sometime if you want, as I don't have any specific date were I update, yet.

I've also made alot of changes to this blogs layout, I'm quite satisfied with how everything turned out, or at least it looks decent, scratch that I'm never satisfied with how anything looks but this will do for now.
